What is Cub Scouts?

Cubs Scouts is the K-5 program under Scouts BSA

Why join Cub Scouts? To name a few reasons: making friends, building confidence, learning about respect, working toward achievements, developing teamwork skills, gaining new experiences, giving back to the community, plus plenty of opportunities for parent involvement! We hope you'll join us and benefit from all that scouts has to offer.

What is a Pack/Den? The pack is made up of all the Cub Scouts in our unit and is made up of multiple smaller dens. A den is a group of 8 or less Cub Scouts that are usually all in the same grade level.

What are the ranks? As seen in the image above, the Cub Scout Ranks are based on grade year. Each scout has 1 school year to earn the rank for that year, either at meetings or at home.

Uniforms: The uniform is an important part of the Scouting experience. There are 2 categories of uniform. Class A uniforms are the formal uniforms worn at pack meetings, all community outings, some camping and other activities. The Class B uniform is the pack t-shirt and is worn at many den meetings and activities like a hike.
